Chekwas Okorie Issues Stern Warning: No Igbo Votes Without Signed MoU
Former APGA National Chairman, Chief Chekwas Okorie, has sent a clear message to all politicians eyeing the South-East vote: don’t expect support unless you sign a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Okorie said the era of empty promises is over. “Whoever wants Igbo votes must commit in writing to real projects, fairness, and accountability. Words alone will not carry your campaign,” he warned.
He stressed that the Igbo electorate is now politically conscious and determined to turn its votes into tangible development. According to Okorie, any party or presidential hopeful that ignores this demand does so at their own peril.
The former APGA leader added that a proper MoU would not only protect the South-East but also reinforce Nigeria’s democratic process, ensuring leaders are held to their commitments.
